PFMEA is a methodology for assessing risk, identifying any weaknesses in the desired outcome of a process and guarding against them prior to committing the design to the production processes.
It is performed after initial Process is available to allow the results of the analysis to be incorporated in an improved Process. This is vital in terms of reliability, quality, cost achievement and must be done at the earliest opportunity in any Process launch. The PFMEA methodology is fundamentally different from Design FMEA and Machinery FMEA and encompasses the latest thinking including Robustness linkages

The basic objectives of the course are :
  •  To ensure participants have a full understanding of the linkages between Design FMEA, Process FMEA and Machinary FMEA
  •  To coach a participant with no current understanding of PFMEA into gaining a working knowledge of the methodology
  •  To identify the requirement to deploy the controls at the point of need 
  •  To explain the practical requirements for a timely FMEA to maximise the benefit at minimal cost
  •  To outline the importance of the recommended actions
  •  To assist with the learning the Application Workshop and Facilitated Deployment is conducted on a product of your choice.

A 1 Day introduction to Process FMEA. Delegates will understand the use of
function trees,  ranking tables & typical mistakes and errors. The importance of

The emphasis of this course, in addition to teaching the
practical application of the methodology, is to continue with the task utilising the
ssoftware to successful completion of the Process FMEA

The emphasis of this course, in addition to teaching the
practical application of the methodology, is to enable the delegates to be
successful Facilitators able to lead Process FMEA teams.
