
Roger Thorpe of Hope Enterprises, Working as a member of the newly formed ‘HEC Consultancy’ is pleased to announce that he has been nominated for one of three awards for outstanding achievement by ERBI Medtech. The ERBI Medtech 2008 award for NHS Partnerships which is sponsored by Health Enterprise East. Winners will also go forward as entries to the prestigious Medilink UK national healthcare technology awards. The awards will be announced on the 7th November and presented at ERBI’s Winter Ball at The Imperial War Museum, Duxford on 29th November 2008.

Roger Thorpe was invited as a guest speaker for the ‘Commercial Centre’ of the HSBC to discuss Business Innovation and how it could be applied to the HSBC business clients.

Our software was re-released to take account of the FMEA Handbook 4th Edition revisions. This includes revised templates and increased functionality for ease and speed of use.

Roger Thorpe was a guest speaker on 17th September to provide a presentation on ‘Business Innovation’ where he had used tried and tested industrial techniques and applied them to a new sector, on this occasion the sector being the NHS and patient waiting lists.

In partnership with the Hethel Engineering Centre we provided specialist bespoke software and consultancy to regional primary care trust to establish demand and capacity requirements for CT scans and identified some unique opportunities to significantly reduce the time patients have to wait for a scan.

To strengthen our position in the Motorsport sector we attended Autosport International, positioned in the education area we were the only Specialist Training organisation to exhibit at the show.

This is a result of passing through the Employer Recognition Scheme. To date Hope Enterprises is the only independent training provider who holds this prestigious sector recognition, This further strengthens our position as we move into this sector.
In 2001 we identified a gap in the market for FMEA software as we were unable to source a single piece of software that mimicked the method correctly.
Six years on the software has gone through a variety of evolutionary changes. In July of this year Hope Enterprises (SW) Limited was activated as the software and website design division of Hope Enterprises.
We have decided to strengthen our position in existing business sectors while consciously moving into the Motorsport sector. To achieve this goal we have been working very closely with the Motorsport Acadamy for direction and guidance.
